Roundtable Ethical AI Development - Closing Event

How can we develop ethical AI?

Join us for the final event of the Roundtable Series on Ethical AI Development (RTeKI), initiated by Stiftung Mercator GmbH and the German Informatics Society, and hosted at the Merantix AI Campus.

Over nearly two years, the RTeKI brought together senior representatives from software-developing companies, spanning start-ups to large corporations across various industries. In a confidential setting, participants explored challenges and best practices in implementing corporate AI ethics guidelines, devising solutions to bolster responsible AI design.

In this concluding event, we aim to publicly present key project results, engage in discussions on significant AI ethics developments with experts from science, business, politics, and civil society, and foster interdisciplinary and cross-industry exchange.

We are honored to have Dr. Sebastian Wieczorek, Vice President for AI Technology at SAP, will take the stage to deliver a keynote address and engage in a discussion on critical AI themes. The program will also feature Julia Meisner presenting key results from RTeKI.

The evening will then transition to a dynamic panel discussion with Maike Scholz (Deutsche Telekom), Rainer Rehak (Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society), Hanna Behnke (Merantix Momentum), and Tim Vallée (Beyond AI Collective, The University of Bonn), moderated by Nikolas Becker from Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V.

Throughout the evening, your input, ideas, and questions are highly encouraged. Following the official program, we invite you to continue the discussions over drinks and snacks. 🇩🇪 This event will be held in German.
