A bit more about the speakers:
Dr.-Ing. Susan Wegner
She is responsible for Artificial Intelligence & Data Analysis at Lufthansa Industry Solutions. She has more than 15 years of experience, particularly in the areas of machine learning, artificial intelligence and platform/software design at Deutsche Telekom and other companies such as Robert Bosch or T-Systems. Furthermore, Dr. Wegner in various expert councils/juries for e.g. the European Data Science & AI Award, the Bikom Big-Data&AI Summit or the Vision Award. She is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Quantum Technology & Application Consortium (QUTAC).
She works at Merantix Momentum as a research engineer for large-scale language models. She holds a BSc in Informatics from the University of Hamburg and worked as a backend developer and data scientist during her Bachelor studies. Last year, she completed the MSc Artificial Intelligence program at the University of Amsterdam. During her master’s thesis at the Amsterdam DELTA Lab for Deep Learning Technologies, Alexandra focused on the theoretical side of deep learning - in particular, on the optimization of discrete flow-based models.
