About the speakers:
Bastian Hasslinger is a Partner at Index Ventures. He works with founders from the earliest stage to pre-IPO focussing on B2B software across industries. Prior to joining Index, Bastian was with Picus Capital. He led their Berlin office and invested in pre-seed and seed stage companies in Northern Europe. Bastian tapped into the startup ecosystem being one of the first team members of the Munich-based software venture Alasco. He holds a M.Sc. from ETH Zurich and B.Sc. from KIT.
Corina Gurau is a Venture Fellow at Air Street Capital, and has been working on the upcoming “State of AI Report 2023”. The report analyses the most interesting developments in AI, and they aim to trigger an informed conversation about the state of AI and its implication for the future. Corina was previously an Applied Scientist at autonomous driving company Wayve and holds a PhD in AI from the University of Oxford.
Sivesh Sukumar, is an Investor at Balderton Capital. He started his career at JP Morgan in the fintech team looking, and also spent time in the Securitised Product Group. Sivesh holds a MEng from the University of Oxford where he specialised in Software Engineering and Machine Learning.
Adrian Locher is the co-founder and CEO of Berlin-based Merantix, an AI investment platform, and initiator of the Merantix AI Campus. He has been a serial entrepreneur and investor for the past 20 years, founding more than 10 companies both in Europe and the US, in digital healthcare, e-commerce and AI. Adrian holds a degree in business and economics from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). He sold his previous company, a leading Swiss e-commerce firm, at EUR 100M revenue. Adrian has received various awards, is a close advisor to one of Europe’s largest initiatives for young entrepreneurs, and a board member of HSG Alumni.
