About the speakers:
Hemant Taneja is CEO and managing director of global VC firm General Catalyst, backers of legendary companies like Stripe, Snap, Samsara, Airbnb, Kayak and Gusto. Hemant is also a best selling author and advocate for Responsible Innovation. His 2022 book Intended Consequences: How to Build Market-Leading Companies with Responsible Innovation lays out an actionable framework for founders and executives on how to create innovative and enduring companies built–from the outset–to generate both significant financial and societal returns. Hemant is regularly featured on the Midas List as one of the top venture capitalists in the world.
Max Rimpel is a partner at General Catalyst, where he invests in early-stage founders across the US and Europe. Max is based in New York and spends most of his time across the Enterprise software stack with a focus on AI. Prior to joining General Catalyst, Max worked at Index Ventures and Google in London. Max is on the board of, or actively involved with, the following GC companies such as OpenStore, PowerUs, Localyze, Origin, AIM Robotics, Workwise, Expressive and Chalk.ai.
Zeynep Yavuz is a partner at General Catalyst, a venture capital firm that partners with founders from seed through growth stages and beyond to build companies that withstand the test of time. At GC, Zeynep focuses on investments in fintech and crypto companies globally. She is based in London. Prior to joining GC, Zeynep led new product partnerships at the global cross border payments company WorldRemit. Zeynep started her investing career at TA Associates, a global growth equity fund, where her focus was investing in financial technology companies in Europe. Prior to joining TA, Zeynep was in the technology investment banking group of Bank of America Merill Lynch in New York.
Adrian Locher is the co-founder and CEO of Berlin-based Merantix, an AI investment platform, and initiator of the Merantix AI Campus. He has been a serial entrepreneur and investor for the past 20 years, founding more than 10 companies both in Europe and the US, in digital healthcare, e-commerce and AI. Adrian holds a degree in business and economics from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). He sold his previous company, a leading Swiss e-commerce firm, at EUR 100M revenue. Adrian has received various awards, is a close advisor to one of Europe’s largest initiatives for young entrepreneurs, and a board member of HSG Alumni.
