AI in Life Sciences

Medical innovation does not happen in silos - its future depends on disciplines like Biotech, Pharma, Digital Health, MedTech, as well as Artificial Intelligence and other deep technologies being better connected, coordinated, and collaborating.
Our mission at LSTN is to connect and support entrepreneurs and professionals at the intersection of Life Sciences and Technology.
Roundtables
🎤 Angelina Lesnikova: AI for data vs data for AI
We're used to thinking that data -> AI moves one way and consider data "a given" here. However, for everything around data management, it makes sense to reverse the flow and use AI to first prepare the data.
We'll discuss multiple ways of using AI for automating data curation and governance, building knowledge and context graphs, restoring the semantic layer etc.
🎤 Ekin Matkap: Agentic AI for Life Sciences
AI systems are starting to move beyond analysis and into action; triggering workflows, coordinating tasks, and supporting real decisions. In high-stakes, regulated environments, that shift changes how organisations think about accountability, oversight, and trust.
This roundtable will explore where agentic approaches can realistically drive value today, how much autonomy is appropriate, and what it takes to introduce AI that acts without losing control.
🎤 Caglar Bozkurt: AI in the Lab - Does It Really Work?
A candid, no-marketing discussion on where AI genuinely helps experimental lab work today, where it clearly fails, and what it would take for scientists to actually trust and adopt it.
🎤 Giulio Napolitano: AI in Drug Discovery
This roundtable will explore how AI is transforming drug discovery end to end—from target identification to drug design and optimisation—spotlighting where it delivers the greatest impact and where startups should focus to build real, lasting value.
🎤 Nikola Zivkovic: AI Pipelines That Clinicians Actually Trust
AI in healthcare often fails at adoption, not accuracy. This roundtable explores what it takes to build AI systems that clinicians will actually use in their daily practice. From explainability and UX design to clinical validation workflows. We'll discuss how to bridge the gap between technical capability and real-world trust.
